WARNING! HOT, FRESH BREAD!

I would drive 30 minutes - no an HOUR - just for this bread. - L’Ostal, Darien.

The bread arrives at the table with a warning: "Please wait for the bread to cool down." How hot it could be?!? Oh, we found out. After heeding the warning, it had the bread trifecta: outside crunch, soft inside, and spectacular herb flavor. We would bring anyone any day just to enjoy this bread. Seasonal item at L’Ostal in Darien.

This bread remains consistent and excellent.

We suggest ordering it at the same time as the sformato, and have them together for the perfect bite.

Correction, we would drive an hour for this bread!

Again, pair it with the sformato, and dip the bread in the sformato. SO GOOD!
